I love how you can convey that fairytale feeling to your drawings

P.s.After seeing your last unicorn art i was wondering how you would have conceived the characters of "Into the Woods" (you know the fairytale musical) XDXD

Wow. That's all I can say. Your work amazes me. You are truly, truly an inspiration to other artist and writers out there, me included. I've got a looooong way to go to even be half of where you are. The elegance and detail of your drawings are simply marvelous. I would love to shoot you with a hundred questions, but I probably can't. If you could answer me just this one: how did you become a professional comic artist, especially in this world where breaking into the art industry is so tough?

Hello! I'm sooo sorry I didn't see this until now! I've been terribly neglecting my Dev. Art Page! :)

Thank you so much for the lovely words. They mean so much to me!

I personally broke into comics by drawing a lot and posting my work on comics sites. As I got better, I eventually got hired for a small comics job for beginner rates (something like 25$ a page). From there it was one small step up after another to better and more work.

That's the simple of it anyway. I went through a LOT of self doubt and was a very young single mom when I first started getting serious about comics, so it was no walk in the park! My BIGGEST advice would be to not let any self doubt talk your down from putting yourself and your art out there. I at first avoided posting art and even taking work because I didn't feel I was "good enough" yet. But you just need to jump right in and learn the ropes along the way.

There's a lot more I could say but I don't want to talk your face off! :eager:

I look forward to seeing your work, and please let me know if there's anything more you'd like to ask!

Have a wonderful night and thank you again for the lovely comment :)

RenaeDeLiz, you don't know how happy I am right now that you've responded to me! If there's one thing greater than seeing a really good artist, it's having that really good artist reach out with encouragement. Thank you! :)

Just wanted to say that I love how your drawings have a sense of movement and flow to 'em. I really need to find a consistent set of rules to play with when I render hair. You've obviously got that one down. Anyway, great work!
